David Hoover:

CLASS OF 1965
Del city, OK

David's Story

As you're aware, I graduated from good old Del City in '65. I then enrolled at OU graduating in '69 with a BS in Chemistry and again in '75 with a PhD in Biochemistry. Then it was a year of teaching at Tulsa Jr College before a 2 year post-doc at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. I finally started my first real job at the age of 30, going to work for a clinical testing laboratory, Bio-Science, in Van Nuys, CA. That lasted 6 years before taking another position with another clinical laboratory in St. Louis. nt, I married my high school sweetheart in 1966, but unfortunately divorced in '83. We had a son whose is married with 3 children and they live in California. I remarried in '89; we have 2 children, 1 in college and the other a jr in high school. Other than that I spend most of my time doing what I call "we projects". My wife says we should paint the basement, then she and the kids go to Florida or something like that. Most husbands can relate to this. As an update, my wife & I recently bought a 2nd home on the White River below Bull Shoals Lake. You'll usually find me there about 2 weeks out of the month fishing, where my 2 brothers will show up frequently. Fortunately, my wife loves it on the river or lake so its nice to get away with her. If there is anyone out there that remembers me, give a holler. David
