David's Story
after graduation i went to harper, got drafted, joined the navy instead to going into army. got out in 12-18-1975. bumbed around awhile, then married kate young(pat youngs little sister) i got an appentiseship in the lake and mchenry county plumbers union in 1977, and have been working on new construction[houses, nuke plant, schools, hospitals, malls and stores, ] since. i have a 71 karmann ghia that is my car show ride. i also ride my motorcycle when ever i can. oh, i have two kids. one boy,david who is 18 and graduating this year, an a daughter, elizabeth, who is 16 and will graduate in 2010, 40 years after our graduation. this year is kate's and my 30th we...Expand for more
dding aniversary. she hates my bike, but still puts up with me. we lived in cary for 15 years, then moved to crystal lake, and have been here 14 years now. sure didn't move far away, but have found a good living and life in this area. i have stayed in regular contact with terry oehberg, greg sell, pat & steve young[ bros in law], and some of kates friends. she graduated in 1975. i feel pretty lucky that my kids have been able to teach this old dog all this computor stuff. if i am not working on my car or bike, i am ebaying everything we have ever saved for no good reason. sorry to have bored you. this is like one of those christmas letters you hate to get.
