David's Story
After graduation, and very dissapointed that my parents were not interested in helping me go to college, I entered the US Air Force.
In 1963 I was discharged and entered the private work force. Barb and Jim Towne introduced me to Jewell Campbell and we married 7 months later.Fourty six years have elapsed and we are happily married with two children and three grandkids.
In 1968 was granted a basketball scholarship at the University of Southern Indiana and graduated in 1972 at the age of 32.That particular year, I was the oldest college basketball player in the nation.

I survived,eventually, with masters degree in elementary and taught in Evansville,In for twenty-seven years.
Jewell was a PE teacher and we retired in 1996 and moved to Lake Barkley..Cadiz,Ky where we stll reside.
I have been writing Children's Picture Books, one of which, has been published and doing quite well. Mr. Jones' Apple Tree, my second book is at the publisher as I write.
Jewell and I live on the lake where we fish,play golf,substitute at the local school system, and entertain family and friends.
