More about David:"I was born in Kokomo, IN in 1959. My dad was a building contractor who traveled to wherever his work took him. We were in Kokomo to visit my aunt Elizabeth (my dads sister) when I was born. Shortly thereafter we moved to Orlando, FL, pre Disney. It was a small but growing city. dad (James) became ill and finally died when I was fifteen. After two uneventfull years I went to live with my sister in Richlands,VA. I transfered from William Fleming H.S. in Roanoke to Richlands H.S. for my senior year then attended SWVCC. Summers before my move to Richlands I worked for my brother-in-law Richard Buskill in several of his businesses including construction, mining tires/wheels, general labor then finally radio at WGTH-FM. During high school and for a couple of years afterward I continued working at WGTH and had an evening radio show and was a commentator on Richlands H.S. football and basketball broadcasts. I then moved to Bluefield,WV and went to work at Bailey Lumber then Harveys Warehouse. Around 1982 I moved back to Roanoke and have lived here since. I met my wife (Kathleen Crouch) after moving back and we were married in August 1983. Our twenty-fifth anniversary was 8/27/2008 and we took a memorable cruise to Bermuda. We have two great daughters, Jennifer who's 21 and Amanda who's 16. I'm very proud of both girls so we must have done something right!".
