Charles's Story
Life
After graduating from Poly I went to college, motivated largely out of a desire to not get shipped off to "Nam". Following the completion of my undergraduate education + teacher certification program I taught in the Corona-Norco school district for 5 years. I left teaching to pursue a career in cancer research, which required 8 additional years of education + training. Married at about the same time as completing my PhD program, and had two children in association with a relationship that lasted for 12+ years. experience was challenging but also rewarding, especially now that all 4 children are well into their adult lives, and, for the most part, seem to be satisfied with who they are and what they are doing. Since graduating from Poly, I've lived in San Diego CA, Dayton OH, Montreal Canada, Detroit MI, Atlanta GA, Rochester MN, Pacifica CA, and Chicago IL. Now fully separated/retired from directing a program in cancer research, which was my line of work for some 35 years, I'm enjoying life as part-time teaching faculty at a Penn State branch campus in York, PA, and spending more time on family-related activities as well as my golf game.
