David Janisch:  

After graduation from West High in 1973 I took a year off of school. Worked at Toys R Us during that time. Then I moved out on my own and never moved back home. Went to El Camino College and studied Sign Language and then transfered to Cal State Northridge to further study Sign Language and became a Professional Interpreter for the Deaf and also taught Sign to hearing people. I worked at CSUN and at El Camino College. While going to school I worked full time as an Asst. Mgr. at 3 movie houses. Lived in several places in Torrance by my own or with friends, mostly David Wentworth. Ended up working at Clearview school in Beverly Hills a private school for spoiled rich kids. Was fun. Ended up moving to Long Beach and drove a school bus while teaching at Clearview. Then moved to Palm Springs for 12 1/2 yrs. Drove a tour bus there and did Sign Language Interpreting in the Desert and at College of the Desert. Then moved to San Diego in 1994 and have been working as a Sign Language Interpreter since in the college system here. Bought a great home in 2000 and live here with my 2nd Golden Retriever, named Sequoia. Had an incredible loving relationship for 12 yrs. with my partner Scott. He passed in Feb. 07 from cancer.
