David's Story
To whomever may read this, when I left Cousino, my folks had moved to Ohio. I went to the Columbus Ohio area and joined the Navy (which was something I'd decided I would do as soon as I graduated from High School). I spent the next 22 years in the Navy until I retired in 1992 as a Chief Radioman. I married in 1972 and divorced in 1979; I remarried in 1982 and have been very happy with my wife Cynthia for the last 27 years. We have 3 children between us; Gabriel 32, Jason 31 and Beth Ann who just turned 30 in January 09. We have 2 wonderful grandchildren, (Payton Lynn age 4 and Jay Alan 3); My wife has been a licensed Day Care Provider for the past 25 years and I work for the city of Norfolk (Virginia) as an Emergency Police, Fire and Paramedic Dispatcher. egree in Programming and Networking, worked as a Programmer/Analyst until 9-11-01 when the bottom fell out of my industry. I found myself out of work till being picked up by the City. I guess I'm always in search of that illusive better paying job but at 58, there's too much competition out there for the better jobs so this is where I'll probably be till retirement. At Cousino I wasn't a wallflower but neither was I in the limelight. I had a lot of fun in Mr. Kesner's German class and marginally pass Typing but, it should be understandable since I was the only guy in the class. I really enjoyed the Art classes, made some real nice jewelry and got a kick out of the screen printing! Not sure if anyone remembers me but if you'd like to converse, drop me a in here. And if your ever in the Norfolk Virginia area, let me know .. we should get together.
