David's Story
After high school I joined Navy. If you don't remember, Bree my daughter came to our graduation. Diane and I had 2 more boys. I spent 7 years in Navy as a reactor operator. Did a tour on USS Houston SSN-713 a fast attack submarine. After the Navy I went to work for Argonne National Laboratory - West located in Idaho. I worked as a reactor operator on the Intregal Fast Reactor project a liquid metal fast breeder reactor. Then the Clinton administration shut it down in 96, so I worked some other projects mostly in operations.
Started writing a column in the local paper about recreation. That's where I got my Dirtbikerdave name. Wouldn't Mrs. Kelsey be proud. I used her english stuff after all. She probably thought it was wasted on me. No...Expand for more
w I wouldn't even think of ending a sentence in a preposition.
Got divorced in 98 after 15 years. Then started working on collecting toys. Did some more free lance writing.
About 5 years ago Argonne spun off their West facility and we joined the INEEL and then became one big family and changed our name to the Idaho National Lab (INL). I transferred to the Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) and back to the operations type work that I like. Google it - we do cool stuff.
Tried marriage again in 04 it was fantastic for a while, but I divorced again after 5 years. Guess it's not for me.
Here I am living in Idaho. I love the rural setting. Love the country life. Still love fast motorcycles and cars.
That's my story... Life's short - Ride hard!
