David's Story
I have lived in Redding, California the last 35 years enjoying the surrounding lakes and mountains. I have owned a wholesale paper and packaging business, Ledger Paper Company, for over 20 years, but now it is largely employee run so I am semi-retired. I lived in Arcata for a little over a year from 2006 to 2007 to attend Humboldt State University and for a change of scenery.
My main interests are the outdoors ...Expand for more
and science, especially plant biology, so I combine those interests with leading hikes and walks for California Native Plant Society, Sierra Club and other local groups.
Two of my sisters, Genevieve and Ruth live in San Luis Obispo County, so I am frequently in the area visiting them and enjoying hiking at Montana de Oro or the many trails around San Luis Obispo. I am always tempted to move back to the area.
