Life Before Eastern, I attended Randall Jr. High. I am married again... and living in Durham,NC. This maybe unbelievable for those that knew me at Eastern, but I am teaching in the Durham Public Schools..I finally got my act together...look me up. How many of us have spoke these word, "I sure wish I knew then what I know now." I was so wild and crazy in my youth. Most of us probably were. I think about some of the time that I wasted, I think about many of my former teachers that saw something in me that could not see in myself, and I want to say, you all were right and I apologize for being so hard headed. Now that I work in education, I understand. Believe me I do. But, I am blessed. I am alive and alive with wisdom. Many people may not agree with Louis Farrakhan and the teachings of the Nation of Islam, but that is what saved my life in my younger years. It protected me from living a reckless way of life. At the same time I have learned to respect and love all people regardless of their race,religion, culture, disablity, or sexuality.
