David's Story
Time has really changed things for me since my School days at Central Christian School. Those days at CCS really left a impact on me in guiding me through my life.
I graduated from Morrow High School in 1977 a year early and got married on 12/03/1977. I was working for Winn Dixie Food Stores during that time. My first daughter Amy Danille was born August 25th 1978 and brought great joy in our lives. The next great joy came in 1980 when Deesha Kay was born. I worked for Winn Dixie until 1983 when I was hired by the Postal Service. The first two years were very bad in that I worked the night shift at Crown Rd in Atlanta as a machine operater. They had a bad shooting where two of my friends were killed by a co worker. I applied for a different job outside that Post Office and was transferred to Morrow Ga as a carrier. I then worked there as a Superviso...Expand for more
r and was transferred to Powder Springs where I became a full time carrier supervisor. I then transferred back as a supervisor to Forest Park which was right close to where I lived. I then transferred to Lexington Ga in 1994 as Postmaster. I know live one mile from my office in the country and know everyone in town and almost everyone in the county. My two daughters married in 1999 and I now have four wonderful granbabies. They are the highlight of our lives. When I moved to Lexington I started a side Lawn business employing two others and still have it running. My wife and I also have built a new christian daycare which employees 30 people and cares for a average 165 children. The Lord has really blessed us and I give Central Christian School lots of credit for laying the groundwork for my life. I would be thrilled to hear from any former classmates.
