David's Story
I specialize in Family Medicine and Sleep Medicine and have a practice in The Woodlands, TX. I am the medical director of Sleep Diagnostics of Texas and have two sleep labs in the North Houston / The Woodlands area. You can see me on my website at DoctorMichalak.com.

ss than the housekeeping staff, but this opened doors for me. I transitioned to telemetry technician, went to nursing school, and became an ER nurse and ultimately hospital supervisor. I made the decision to go back to school to complete medical school requirments, and when I graduated Univ. of St. Thomas with a biology and math degree in 1999 I had well over 200 semester hours or course work. Ultimately, my quest to become a physician ended up with 2 undergrad degress, a doctorate, a residency completed in Family Medicine; and, it took 13 years.
On a personal note, I am married and have two precious (most of the time) daughters. If only they would stop screaming (they were born in 2009 and 2010)--yea, I started a little later than most. The picture of the child being examined on my website is my first daughter when she was around 16 months old.
