David's Story
Life
Well, I never left the area, but somehow I managed to miss all the reunions, which I regret more and more as time goes on.
I have managed to work for Alcoa for the last 30+ years and am just waiting for the right time to take retirement from there and get on with enjoying life more.
I didn't marry until I was 27, but have been happily married ever since (31+years) to my wife Cathy, who hails from California by way of Burlington. I never let Bettendorf-Burlington athletic events go by without rubbing it in to her. We have one child (James) who is 28 and still...Expand for more
single. He managed to outdo me in waiting to get married, so therefore there are no grandchildren on the horizon.
We have been blessed with good health, except for my wife having a bout with breast cancer, which she is now nearly 2 years out from and doing well.
Hopefully the class of '66 will decide to have another reunion before too long, maybe teaming up with one or more of the other mid-60's classes. If I can figure out how, I will try to post a photo here later.
To any who may read this, I hope this finds you and yours in good health and success in your life.
