David's Story

After graduating High School my life was adrift, I had no more hopes of a useful life than a piece of dehydrated driftwood. Then I went to Wharton, where I learned you either started there or ended up there, where I started my path to higher education. I walked into the office to sign up for classes when they asked me what I wanted to do. Well what does anybody do where they don't know what to do? They get their associates degree in electronics technology, but I also received choir scholarship where my life took another twist. ried in December of 1991 and we have been through thick and thin together. In January of 2001 our first child, Owen, was born he is now going into the 2nd grade in the Vanguard/Magnet program at Askew elementary in HISD. March of 2008 we received another blessing, this time of a little girl, Isabelle, who was an unexpected joy to behold. Like I said electronics is for those who don't know what to do, recently I have been attending classes at the University of Houston and have rediscovered my love and gift of language. I am taking classes to receive a bachelors of art in english with a minor in ancient greek. Its a far cry from Kirchoffs laws and resistor network analysis, but it is who I truly am.
