David's Story
It has been a few years since I updated this story. I find it amazing to know that I am old enough to collect Social Security and also old enough to be the senior generation in my family. I kind of compare myself to Grandma Moses in that she found her latent creativity in her 90's and I found my vocation during the last 10 years. Having done many things (and I mean many things) in my life, I am a great Jeopardy player. Do I regret not having one career....absolutly not. It has afforded me to have a very interesting life and prepared me for a extremely varied older lifestyle. I recently bought a new guitar to refresh the skills I had as teen that flew away for a while. I have learned and become an expert in the Art and Science of Reflexology and I am presently a student of the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu. I received my certification as a practitioner of JSJ in2010. These two energy bodywork modalities will provide my extra income and keep me fresh mentally and physically as I move towards my goal of one hundred years of life and adventure. I was Pastor and one of the founders of the Metropolitan Community Church of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for eight years. If I listed the job experiences I had it would be a large list. act with all types of people. I worked in an international setting for many years and have been blessed to learn that we all are very much similar in beliefs and prejudices. I believe there is only one race...HUMAN....and God loves all of our diversity. I wish my future to be joyful and busy doing what I love best. What is that you ask! I want to help people and their bodies by allowing them to have deep relaxation and stress release so that total balance occurs and self healing begins to bring their bodies to complete homeostasis. What brings me great joy? Besides DARK CHOCOLATE and Crown Royal and dancing....yes, I still dance all the time at the clubs; the memories I hold in my heart memories of many people, events, experiences that bring smiles to my face. The challenges that show me my strength and ability to adapt, and the adventure of each next minute give me hope for a wonderful continuing journey until it is my time to rejoin eternity in spiritual form. What gives me the greatest joy and pride for my life? This question is very simple! The many people I have met on my journey who have influenced me, shown me great friendships, and helped lead me to my present work for relaxation and stress release Thank you all for your smiles, hugs, and for being my friend.
