David's Story
After graduating from college in 1968, I volunteered and joined the Navy as a Naval Aviator. I served on active duty for eight years during Viet Nam. In the Navy I flew P-3s in VP-24, and served tours in Keflavik, Iceland, chasing Russian submarines during the 'cold war'. After Viet Nam, I joined the Reserves in Jacksonville and flew P-3s. I commanded the Bermuda Reserve ASWOC, and retired as a Captain in 1994.
In my professional career, I pursued real estate management. I earned professional designations of Broker, Certified Property Manager (CPM), Certifie...Expand for more
d Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Association Manager (CAM). I co-owned a real estate management, brokerage and investment company until I retired in 2006.
As a retired military pilot, I still enjoy flying. I am an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, and am building an experimental airplane. I hope to finish in the next two years.
I live outside of Orlando, Florida, and have two children. My son works for FDLE in Tallahassee, and my daughter is a Senior in high school.
