David's Story

I came to Ramona in my Junior year. I wrestled two years. I go an AA from RCC and then went to Cal Poly, Pomona. I also wrestled there for two years and qualified to go to the NCAA tournament (I lost in the 1st round). I became good friends with Jim Lyon, and we were roommates until he went in the Army. I got married in 1969 and had two amazing daughters, who live in Seattle area. We divorced years later. I was drafted into the Army and was stationed at Ft. Sill, OK, and that is where I stayed until I separated in 1970. I also wrestled in the Army and finished 3rd in the division. After the service, I worked for Mobil Oil for ten years.
