David's Story
The "now" photo is from the summer of 2007. The background is the lesser of 2 Skellig Islands off the southwest coast of Ireland. I'm standing on the summit of the larger island, where monks built themselves a retreat 800 years ago. The photographer is my wife Kate.
The "then" photo is from high school, 12th grade.

oral student, Walter Glannon, is now a Professor of Philosophy and Canada Research Chair at the U of Calgary. Two other students that I've taught (Mark Migotti while we were at Yale) and Allen Habib (at the University of Arizona where I now teach) and a former classmate (Ann Levey) also went on to become faculty at the U of Calgary.
