David's Story
Life
Anybody that knew me probably expects that I'm some sort of rocket scientist or something. Sorry.... After realizing that academia was not exciting enough, I struck out into the "real world." I tried on several careers very briefly and ended up in construction. I have traveled somewhat and touched projects all over CA. I find it very rewarding to know that years from now I'll be able to point to highrise buildings, hospitals, and airports and say, "Look at that! Your daddy helped build that building over there!"
I married my best friend's baby sister, Carrie. (NOT his idea, by the way...) I figured that any woman that witnessed...Expand for more
my bachelor days and could still love me was a definite keeper. We have a beautiful daughter named Laurel (born Jan of 2004) and a son, Jacob. (born Aug 2005)We live in Ladera Ranch.
Right now we are considering relocating to Indianapolis to be closer to her family. Land is cheap and I would be able to work less hours. I have a sizable business with even more sizable partnership troubles. If I have to start over, I'm going to put a little more thought into where I do it.
I look back and think that I'm glad I didn't rush into anything. I didn't really know what I wanted to be until 25, so I guess I'm right on schedule, aren't I?
