David's Story
I reside in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago with my wife (Shawna) and daughter (Gabrielle). We are just down the road from Wrigleyville and Lake Shore Drive.
After graduating high school, I went to Boston University. I joined AEPi fraternity. I graduated May 1993 with a B.A. in International Relations and minor in Business.
Right after B.U., I went to the University of Illinois Colllege of Law. I graduated in 1996 and moved to Chicago. For 6 years I worked in a few law firms doing primarily corporate and real estate law. Eventually I got tired of billable hours and decided to go into the real estate business.

s is commercial real estate brokerage and advisory services. My company, Schwalb Realty Group, Inc. is located in the River North section of downtown Chicago. I work with several people in my firm and we broker primarily "off the radar" commercial real estate deals involving office buildings, shopping centers, hotels and apartment complexes. The advisory side of our firm works on equity placement and commercial mortgage note sales.
I pretty much work my tail off, but I really enjoy what I do. Shawna stays at home with Gabrielle, but occasionally teaches yoga and pilates classes. Chicago is great, but we still enjoy visiting Omaha each year.
