David's Story

Whoa.. this seems much harder than i thought .. starting to get a headache already after just 2 minutes. Well .. in case anyone is wondering where I vanished overnight to and beyond. Well that Math Science Class was just too much and I lost my patience listening to the same old drudge everyday. So that day I exploded in class, walked out ... I went direct to my locker, emptied it all out and threw the books (literally) into the Office. I QUIT!!! and the next day my Dad took me down to the Marine Recruiter Office. We had an agreement, I would have to pass the GED with 95% or better and IF I did, then I would have to join the Marine Corps. I passed with 97% and off I went to Parris Island (Beufort), SC afew mon ths later on my 17th biirthday. The rest is hstory!! I am retired now and have started my 2nd Career, as an OTR Driver, plus I purchase land and other items that I beliieve will have a return. I advise all my old friends to check out Bid4Assets!!! I am making a Ft. Knox Fortune off of this. Now my life is building, bulilding a nest egg for the future. Now, I have also started my own Transportation Brokerage Business, so I just keep plowing away. Anyway, I am in no hurry to do much of anything now-a-days, cause I am just loving the way life is going!!! I still often wonder what happened to Kenny Cook, Eddie Haskell, Ernie Kinch, Drummer Cruz (Too Cool Cruz) and Chuck Merchant. Oh and who can forget that total Jerk 'Clo...Expand for more
ak" ... sure wish I could run into that guy today. okay .. I also buy a lot of Fine Art .. as an Investment .. my favorite being a Watercolor on Paper (Original) by Erik Freyman. I also donate to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which is a great place to visit and the City of Monterey is just the BEST! I own a bunch of land, like a small 10 acres in the Ozark Mountains along the Mark Twain Forest, with a nice Cedar Cabin, which is great for hunting and fishing. I own a few hundred acres in the Sierras of Nevada .. where I can watch the Wild Horses, another one of my pet projects. A few lots in Arizona and Arkansas. I am also on a project called Adopt-A-Driver, for elementary kids, so they can see the US from the cab of a Truck. Great for teaching Geography and the various cultures. Vacations are spent doing my favorite thing, Dredging for Gold in the Mountains of California. I have 2 (20 Acre) claims up near the Marble Mountain Wilderness, that produce great gold returns and can have fun camping, fishing and doing some well desrved relaxing. I am single, done that marriage thing a long time back, was very disappointed and ended up getting burned .. so I keep it simple and easy going .. maybe someone will come along some day to just really rock-my-world, but until then I am content with my marathon dating. Tough to find a gal that can keep up with me for one thing and harder to find one that does not have a truck load of baggage.
