David's Story
I always wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
My favorite way to blow off steam is listening to live music.
The wildest thing I ever did in school was skipping out to go to a concert.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have autonomy, trust, and honesty to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I don't have any heroes, I get my inspiration from the love of my family and self motivation.
I have lived all over the U.S. since my graduation from high school. I moved for career advancement.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my mother, because she died suddenly in 2003.
My obsessions are LSU sports and the love of music.
My biggest surprise in life is that I didn't marry my high school sweetheart or stay in New Orleans forever.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel it and add on a work shop. ...Expand for more
My dream home would be on the beach.
I've learned from my kids that there are virtues to staying in one town rather than moving around.
I'd like to see my high school English Literature teacher, Roger Dale Dunn, again to thank him for caring enough about a bunch of teenage boys to encourage them to read English Literature and to take them to live theatre, on his own time.
If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to my kids, then spend the rest on travel, a small yacht and retirement.
To be truly happy, I would be retired, independently wealthy, and traveling the globe with my wife.
My oldest friend and I met playing on an 85 lb. football team when I was 8, and we clicked because we had a tough upbringing.
My first job was cutting people's yards, where I got paid $3.00 to cut their grass and rake. What I remember most about it is the heat, and what I bought with the money (a console stereo and a pool table).
