David's Story
Life
I was born in Pasadena, and my family moved from Eagle Rock to Monterey Park when I was three. I attended Monterey Vista Elementary, Garvey Jr. High, and Keppel from Fall '56 to spring '58, then we moved to Covina, where I attended Covina HS. After graduation, I joined the Army and was stationed in Alabama and Germany. now I live in the foothills of the Appelachains in North Georgia. 15 miles from where I am is a park with the highest waterfall in the eastern US and an eight mile feeder trail to the official starting point of the Appalachian Trail. While in Poway I became involved in bluegrass and "old timey" music and began collecting instruments. Now I'm living in a place where I can go pickin' with the "Aururia Mountaineers", and on the old town square in Dahlonega GA.
College
I used my GI Bill benefits to attend college where I found myself going back to the only part of school that I liked: music.
