David's Story
After High School I went to Penn State and got a degree in Engineering and married Joanne Hessmiller (from central) in our senior year at PSU.
I went to work for General Electric in Chicago, managing the construction of Power Plants. While there we had two children, Devin and Adrienne. After 7 years at GE I decided to move back to Pennsylvania and went to work for UGI Utilities in Harrisburg in 1987 doing marketing work. I had a number of different opportunities at UGI in both operations and marketing. I am currently the President and CEO of UGI.

,000 customers in Pennsylvania we own UGI Gas Service which operates in Harrisburg, Lancaster, Reading and the Lehigh Valley. We also operate Penn Natural Gas and Central Penn Gas which serves customers in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Danville, Bloomsburg, Williamsport, Lock Haven and other areas. We also operate a small Electric Utility in Kingston, Forty-Fort and Dallas (PA).
Joanne is a Professor at at Marywood University and teaches in the Graduate School of Social Work. Devin is currently in Law School at Temple in Philadelphia, and Adrienne just graduated (2009) from Goddard College in Vermont and is working for the Wyomissing Institute of the Arts.
