David's Story
Life
My Spouse
Nancy and I met in the spring of our freshman year at MSU. We were part of a group figuring out what graffiti to paint on an old bus the Wesley Foundation had purchased to transport students around campus to dinner at the Foundation on Sunday evenings.
My Pets
Both our cats are plain old everyday house cats. Fahrenheit is an 13-year-old brown, white and gray female, getting just a little staid in her ways. Flurry is a 3 year-old white male with a black tail, full of the spunk and energy...Expand for more

My Kids
Brian graduated from Arizona State in the Spring of 2001, with a degree in Broadcasting (specifically Sports Broadcasting).
My Job
I tell my friends and students that the defining quality of a successful academic is an infinite capacity for delayed gratification. It is both enthralling and terrifying to have much of your life defined by your ability to create and communicate new ideas continuously. The symbolic rewards come far more swiftly and certainly than do the material ones.
