David's Story
Success? Hmm... well, I'm sure some of you are richer, some happier, some wiser, but I think I have a pretty good share of all those. Anyhow, I like Classmate's system addressing me as "Most" all the time. It's a real ego boost for someone who never really had enough ego.
Most likely to succeed? Well, I think in our high school days we understimated the worth of "people skills" and also the ability to manipulate (and tolerate) the political systems. Perhaps those folks were already taken by "Most Popular".
So... Dartmouth was wonderful and surely I changed there. Ah... the '70s... so fine. I went for an MBA at Babson after marrying wife number one--a nurse from RI. Had a boy and a girl in the late '70s before divorcing after 10 years.
Remarried after a couple years to my current wife, Denise. Denise is a retired elementary school teacher. We have no children together, but raised her son from about age 5. My ex moved my children to FL when my two were only about 5.

hy people might do even the strangest things and being very tolerant and a good listener. I still deal with issues of courage and self-confidence. Those who knew me at Indian Hill grammar school might still remember the struggles I had with oral presentations in front of the class. Well, I've grown, but still have that issue.
OK, so what about traditional success? career? I've been a controller for small business most of my life, mostly for construction companies. Had a small stint as an independent stock broker (when everyone was doing that in the late '90s). Never made the "really big money" that everyone thought I might, but worked steadily, never collected unemployment, always paid my child support on time... was not "unsuccessful" over all.
Regrets? I have a few. But I've been blessed.
Anyway, in my next life I'm hoping to come back as Billy Joel. Hey, I'll do the whole Christie Brinkley thing if I have to. Seriously, I most envy those who have musical talents.
But, we are what we are. Enjoy.
