David's Story
Hello Everyone,
I dropped out of school, and twenty years later went back and got my GED. I educated myself along the way through books, music and movies. The day I walked out of school, I walked right into my already existing small engine repair business, located in my grandmother's barn at 256 Old Niskayuna Road, right next to the northway off exit five. I ran my shop for 35 years, part time and full time. In between, I helped make life better for the elder members of my family, including my grandmother who passed away at age 96 October 2001.
I worked for Albany Medical Center Hospital for ten years in the transportation department.
I worked for B.O.C.E.S. in an autistic classroom for three years as a teachers aide, followed by training to become a professional nursing assistant / home health care aide.

2002 I moved to Germany, where I am today with my girlfriend Brigitte.
My boss is handicapped is in a wheelchair, I take care of him and his mother who has Alzheimers desease in a private home close by. I also help two other people who have CP both are in wheelchairs.
My girlfriend and I are also the host of two website dedicated to our favorite band, who played at Woodstock in 1969 and who were one of the highlights of the three day event
"Ten Years After".
In 2002 we met the band in person for the first time at the Blues Garage in Hannover, Germany. Have seen the band over 50 times since then, and have become personal friends with the members. It's a dream come true for us as we've been loyal fans for 42 years.
