David's Story
Life
In the photo is my son Tyler. He's 8 & just started 3rd grade at Rustburg Elementary. He lives down in Rustburg with his Mom. My wife Kelly & I are currently living in Bavaria, Germany. We just got home from Iraq back in March and are preparing for whatever happens next as the Army "transforms". She's getting out next year and heading back to our alma mater, the University of Tennessee, to get her MA in public health administration. We are both currently Army Captains.
Military

lian I realised I could not be a civilian anymore. So I earned my commission when I finished college but decided that personnel stuff was too boring, so now I'm an Infantry Officer. I did my year at Fort Benning, GA (that's why I missed the 10-year reunion) doing training, then got here to Schweinfurt, Germany, where I was assigned to the oldest continuous active duty regiment, the 26th Infantry. I was a platoon leader, then an executive officer (2nd in command of the company), and now I'm the Officer in charge of all logistics within the Battalion. Hopefully next year I'll be able to head back to Benning and train for command. Following that I'm hoping to go to Fort Campbell & command a company in the 101st Airborne.
