I always wanted to be a rock star when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a horrible idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I spent 15 years touring the country, opening shows for the Doors, Janis Joplin, Rolling Stones among many. I made a good living doing it and really enjoyed the experience(s). I have lived in Memphis, St. Louis, Chicago, Minneapolis as well as Portland and Florence, Oregon. After my touring days were over I got my law degree, became a entertainment attorney, municipal court judge and, for the past 10 years have been involved in building music business programs in US and European colleges/universities. I have been a Chair of a University department, Dean of a College and a tenured professor. Still trying to decide what I want to do when I grow up! I have traveled throughout the US and a large portion of Europe and, for the most part, have been paid to do so. I guess that has been my biggest surprise.
