David's Story
Hello I'm David F. Yera, i've been here in Houston & Pasadena ,Tx since I left Pontiac, Mi. back in 1978. I began working for a Seismic Exploration Crew in Texas , Paying good Money ,I stuck with it till the Oil Boom went out in 1982. I traveled a lot all over the Country different cities , meeting all types of people,I even learned how to Two-Step.
When the oil boom went out I moved to Natchitoches ,Louisiana,a very nice little Town.After I left there I moved back to Houston,Tx. I began working at the Spring Branch Medical Center as a Surgical Orderly in the OR. It was a very exciting job bringing down patients to be prepped before Surgery. we also took Blood gasses to the lab ,Assisted in the Historic Procedure of the first Living Lens Transplant, with Houstos very own Dr. Barry Horwitz ,yes we were in the New's.In 1986 I went on my own to start my own Remodeling Co.That lasted till Business got slow in 1988 ,That is when I started in The Hydroblasting Industrial Busines, Cleaning tanks, Exchangers, and differen...Expand for more
t parts of equipment in the Refineries up and down the Ship Channel, with a Company named Hy-Vac, then Onyx Industrial bought us out. I got married to a very nice young lady named Maria in 1993, actually we dated three Months & then got married, rather quick & been happy ever since .In 1995 we had a Little boy Named David Jr. then in 2000 we had a little girl Named LuzClarita named after my wife & my MOM.They are doing very good in school, I stay on them on how important it is to study hard in school,education is very important. I got out of the Business in 2005 when I hurt my arm , I then began to do Home Loans as a Loan Officer with a Mortgage Broker, the Money was very good & I am still here doing very well for ourselves, taking trips when we want, doing what we want. Life's Been Good So Far, I thank God for all that we have, Remember "There are no more Impossibilities" We have a Good God.
