David's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended the University of Georgia and Georgia State intermittently but never bothered with a degree. I worked in construction, hotel maintenance and for a vitamin company called Cosvetic Labs. Cosvetic Labs is noteworthy in that the owner, Glenn Braswell got one of Bill Clinton's suspicious pardons at the end of Clinton's second term.
After finding my way into computer work, I moved to California where also Peachtree alums Jerry Reid and Bob Pugh had moved. Out there, I got married and had a daughter who is now almost 27 years old.

I go divorced in 1990, remarried in 1996 and have two more daughters, 9 and 7 years old.
For about the last 30 years, I have been a software developer working mostly for software companies.
Workplace
In 1975, I took my first computer job as an operator on a Honeywell 62/40, later at Georgia State as an operator in their data center. In California, I was able to transition into programming where I have been ever since. Presently, I am a Staff Engineer at Sybase Inc. I work remotely from my home in Auburn AL, my manager is in Boston and most of my team is in Asia (Singapore and Beijing)
