David's Story
As I started to think about my Mumford days, I started to think about all of the great places in the neighborhood that we all went to for eating, fun, and work... our neighborhood was a cornucopia of everything. I'll start naming some of my favs, maybe you can add some to my list, Rocky's pizza, Zukins, Darby's, Lou's Deli, The Mercury, Royal, Varsity for movies, My first job Greggs Pizza on 6 mile and Livernois, Sanders, Greene's Hamburger, White Castle, Top Hat, Checker Bar B Q, Buddy's 6 and Conant..... 7 Bowling, My favorite time at Mumford was walking into the entrance of the school and listening to the guys singing the Doowop songs in the corridors with such great harmony, James Cheer's hats off to you on this one, You were kicking out soul before we realized what it was....First kiss, first love, first touch, first time, We were young and innocent, our world was just starting to evolve, and revolve, Our music, our clothes, our cars, College, Taking or joining a family business, or going into the military. It was time for us to grow up and venture into the world, The Times They Are a- Changin. , I can't wait to just say hello to some old friends that I haven't seen in decades. And just drift back to my old Maroon and Blue....days. Go Mumford Mustangs.......
