David's Story
Life
David Coffman is currently the Production Manager for Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture. Formerly a Production Manager for Teatro Zinzanni and AV Concepts, a professor at Arizona State University's School of Theatre and Film, and Director of Production for the San Francisco Jazz Festival. He has also produced, managed, and toured hundreds of shows and special events nationally and internationally with the San Francisco Opera and the Acting Company, and for corporate clients as diverse as Eli Lilly and Gourmet Magazine. rnational Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, and the Stage Managers' Association, where he served as an Executive Board member. He received his MFA in Production Management from the University of Iowa, where he was an Iowa Center for the Arts Fellow, and served as Production Manager for the Theatre Department upon his graduation. He is married to Stephanie Metz of Spokane, Washington, and they share their home in San Francisco, CA with their cat,Frenchie. In the summers of 2007 and 2008, he tour managed the European concert tours of the SFJAZZ Collective, an all-star jazz octet.
