David's Story

Hummm, Well was borne into a military family and was blessed to have a lot of buddies from places like Ft. Shafter/Moanalua Hawaii, Ft. Leonard Wood/Wainesville Mo. and Fort Dix, NJ. Me Pops landed us in Roseburg OR, a nice Northwestern small town. Chose to carry on the family craft and did 21 years in the US Army. That was also a blessing...and I still have a lot of friendships from Heidelburg and Stuttgart Ger...Expand for more
many...did 12 years there great people and great beer...a great place to spend in your 20s and 30s! Travelled and lived in places from Germany to Alaska. Retired as a First Sergeant at Fort Lee, Virginia...an live here now with me wife Lorie. We had one son who is also continuing the family craft of defending the realm. Done with this one. Hope I don't see any more Polkadots for a good long while.
Finished 11x15" colored pencil on suede. I may work on his ear some more. It's matched to the subject photo and isn't as shinny looking at it in person. I'll have to ask the owner and see what he wants me to do.
