David's Story
In May of 1981 I joined the United States Marine Corps. I spent 7.4 years serving. Honorable discharge. Married July 9th 1983 to a wonderful woman I wronged. Divorced December 1994. Never re-married. Currently in a long term relationship with Tanya who is my true love and soul mate. I am a recovering alcoholic and have been sober for 4 years and 8 months. I used to smoke but that stopped 3 years this April. Without the drink and smoke my life totally changed for the better. Last July 8th I finally bought my own home. ittle house. It was a neglected little thing. I currently work at a rug manufacturing plant in Sanford. I am a Master Creeler. I enjoy woodworking, i.e. building furniture to birdhouses. Gardening and yard-work. And snow blowing the occasional blizzard leavings from my driveway. Family and friends are very important to me and I try to visit with them often. Living where I do is a central location family-wise which makes it easier to visit. I like to fish and own a small aluminum boat with motor. I haven't hunted since just before I joined the Marine Corps. I also enjoy surfing the net.
