David's Story

Life Graduated from CSULB in 1982, joined Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc in June, 1982 because I needed a job and fell in love with the company, my 19th anniversary with Toyota is 6/1/01. I accepted my first relocation with them in 1999 and am glad that I did as moving to another area really opened the eyes of this native Californian. I am very happy here in Kansas as it is a great place to raise a family and meet new friends. Now that I have moved once we are looking forward to another relocation sometime in the near future so we can start discovering new experiences and friends all over again. Update 8/25/2004: In June 2004 I relocated to Denver, CO and we are enjoying living in this beautiful state that has 300 days of sunshine annually. My oldest daughter will be an incoming Freshman at Seattle-Pacific University in September. My son is a junior in high school and playing football, baseball and basketball. nd rides her horse. I reached my professional goal of becoming a regional general manager with Toyota. I am responsible for the distribution and sales of Toyotas in Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico, keeps me hopping! I also am a Trustee for Olive Crest Treatment Center for Abused Children in Las Vegas. I enjoy doing charity work and fundraising for this worthwhile organization. Update 6/1/2009: Left Toyota in Summer of 2007 to pursuit retail opportunity. Employed by the Van Tuyl Automotive Group as a consultant for 19 dealerships. Live in Scottsdale AZ with my wife and my youngest daughter who is going to be a junior in high school. My oldest daughter graduated from SPU a year early and is working for an advertising company in Seattle. My son is an incoming junior at Concordia University in Irvine and plays on the baseball team. Although I moved here for the job, we have fallen in love with Scottsdale and plan to retire here.
