David's Story
After high school, I spent several years running sound and lights for a rock band on the road all over the Midwest and other states.
When the band broke up in L.A., I took a (I assumed) temporary job at a discount retail company, and ended up married to the owner. We sold the business and started a road trip that lasted 14 years (looking for a place to "settle down").
During that time, I discovered I was a musician at heart and that, coupled with the skills I learned before with the band, made it possible to do lots of entertaining...Expand for more
and non-professional recording.
Finally, after deciding on a small southern California town (apple rolled all over the place, but landed near the tree anyway), we bought a tiny motel and some houses and became landlords. That was '98.
In 2012, my wife and business partner of 32 years died. I continued running our rental business, but my heart isn't in it.
I found my second wife and we are planning to move to a mountain area farther north in California. I'm looking forward to playing and recording more, and (hopefully) working less.
