David's Story
Life
Hi! If you knew me at GH, I'd love to hear from you! Since leaving GH, I spent two years in Japan on a mission, interned with General Mills in Dallas ('78), graduated from BYU with an accounting degree ('79), spent two years in San Jose working for Price Waterhouse doing auditing ('79-'80), got married ('82), had a baby boy (Jared), got an MBA ('84), changed careers, and moved to Boca Raton, FL to work for IBM. Also lived in Gaithersburg, MD for 8 years, where 3 more children were born (Nicia, Michael, and Andrew), and Austin, TX where our little Ashley was born, although we lost her shortly after her birth. I had a lot of very interesting experiences at IBM. Many of them ended up in the press and a publisher sought me out and made me an offer I couldn't refuse, so I wrote a book for W....Expand for more
H. Freeman entitled "Cyberspace: The Human Dimension." For about a decade, I consulted for various high-tech clients including Intel, PowerQuest, MGI Software, iSeeMedia, muvee, MRI, Creo, ZSoft, and others.
I'm currently involved with a startup named CoolHotNot.com. Check us out!
I've been lucky enough to have traveled a lot, presenting and speaking to thousands of unlucky people in such diverse places as Washington D.C., Moscow, Sao Paulo, Tokyo, Duke University, and in 45 states. I have quite a refrigerator magnet collection!
Most importantly, however, I'm enjoying life in Springville, UT (don't ask me how I ended up here - it's a long story) with my wife, Kathleen and our daughter Emily. Between us, we also have six grown children. Life is good.
Would love to hear from you!
