Peni's Story
Hello from Peni.....
My maiden name was McCallum. Right out of high school, I married Larry Fischer. We were together a few years too long and then went our own directions. I met a wonderful gentleman, became bestest friends in the whole world, grew to be soulmates and married in 1989. I have 3 truly awesome Fischer kids; Tameralee, Charles Anthony (Tony), and Larry Todd (Todd)...I also helped raise John's three children Kelly, John Jr. and Shannon....we are quite the huge family, but holidays are wonderfully hilarious.
I have been in Upper Management, Executive management, Accounting, HR, Business Administrator, Director of Administrative Services in Locked Mental Health Facilities, Business Owner of Bicycle & XGaxes sporting goods shop and so after many choices in professions I became the General Manager of a resort at Lake Berryessa which turned out to be my professional passion.... until the corporation sold, new owners had their own management crew and then the Bureau of Reclamation and BLM shut all the Northside Lake Berryessa resorts down two years after I left.......
I have taken on a couple other commitments working until 2008 and since then I have just taken the time for myself, my wonderful husband, goregeous little Shitzu (Lady Gretchen of Dawes) and the kids and grandbabies....
I would love to pick up a little side job to occupy my time. I am not cut out to retire full time. Its making me crazy.....hummmmm!
That is about the summary of me. Alot more I could detail, but I don't usually....
If you have the time and would like to reconnect, just let me know....I enjoyed high school and all the friends I swore I would never lose contact with......slowly I am finding quite a few friends...so...my story is to be continued....
I always wanted to be a loved person when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an awesome idea. As it turns out, they were right for the most part, my family and friends have made my wishes, dreams and desires come true.
I let off steam or work out my problems by taking Lady Gretchen to the park and watch her play in the grass
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have understanding of, policies, and procedures to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My Dad is my hero. His honesty & respectful approach has stuck in my mind for as long as I can remember
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again ...Expand for more
is Brenda Williams, (Roseland Elementary, Santa Rosa) because I loved my BFF.
I often think Lady Gretchen is my obsession, however, from my heart, my husband's love n friendship and childrens love of me is my obsessions and what keeps me alive.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the back deck and add on a lower level and higher level of decks. My dream home would be just as wonderful as it is now.
Love, honor and respect. Unconditionally loving someone is how I raised my children and actually, is what having them taught me. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to the Grands, then spend the rest on Tami, Tony n Todd, John Jr., my friend Toni and John n myself.
What happens in a dorm stays in a dorm in my estimation, now that someone asked me that question.
My current age is 62. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be all my friends. I was so completely innocent.
My lifetime goal for my professional life was to be the best of the best
My best friend would tell you I'm funny n outgoing, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet n reserved.
Style???? Whatever fits....that's my style. :o)
I share my home with my lil Jawknee Dawes, which I find a grand place to be and share.
In 10 years, I hope to be thinner and healthy. I'm going to get there by taking good care of myself and paying attention.
My oldest "true friend" now is Antoinette. I met Toni when I managed Rancho Monticello Resort. She was one of my employees. We clicked because of her honesty and her refusal to "play the politics game"...I appreciated that about her. One thing led to another, and we became extrordinarily good friends. As time has passed, we love each other like sisters.
My first job was at Donut King in Santa Rosa, where I got paid $1.27 an hour to help make and sell donuts and pastries. What I remember most about it is it's the first time I saw and tasted donut holes.and saw how they are made.
When I was 9 years old, I had spinal menenjitious. I will NEVER forget the pain of the spinaltaps, and how the doctors and nurses were so loving and kind ALWAYS. Dr. Wm Rudee would sit for hours and hold me when I would cry. I will always love that wonderful man. Even his wife; Helen, would come to see me. XXXOOO to all
Lots of years and lots of time to make brand new memories and have bunches of fun.....to be continued...
