Dawn's Story
Lets see, things have changed a little since I last updated this. I have been married for 14 years. I have 4 wonderful kids. Daniel(14), Sydney (12), Kayla (10) and Jessica (8). I am a stay-at-home, home-schooling mom, by choice. I have no need to work. We live a very simple lifestyle. No need to keep up with the "Jones'". My husband, Chris, is the High School Minister at our church. We work with jr/sr high school students though. We absolutely love being in this ministry. I teach a young girls home-bible study.
Outside of church (which leaves me very little time sometimes) I love to knit (it is relaxing when your life is crazy), I love playing on my computer and learning new programs. My latest adventure is discovering what you can do with Photoshop (the newest version). I love photography.
I am going to start school in September to become a board-certified, or state-certified Christian Counselor. In 6-8 years I will have my doctorate and my certification from the state. I will be using this in the ministry I have with abortion-minded girls, and post-abortive women (mainly that). I will be working with counseling these women on the deeper issues, not just the issues that come up with being post-abortive.
My life is basically revolved around the work the Lord has called me to do. For those of you who do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior you are missing out. Jesus Christ came here to earth to seek and save the lost. Those are all those who do not know Him. He came so that we could have a way into an eternal peace with Him. He sacrificed His life (He paid the price) so that YOU would not have to pay the price of an eternity in hell. He loves you more than you could ever imagine. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, and then died on a cross (a sinners death) as a ransom for us. His blood was shed so that our lives would be spared. But the act doesn't stop there. he dead. He conquered death so we wouldn't have to experience it.
You are a good person you say. You will get into heaven because you never murdered anyone, never committed adultry, only told 'white lies' right. But have you ever hated anyone? Looked upon another women and lusted?

The bible tells us that if we look upon a women and lust after her we have already committed adultery. So you are an adulterer. If you have ever hated someone than you have committed murder in your heart. So you are a murderer. It tells us a lie is a lie, so if you ever told a lie at all, than you are a Liar. So now that you are an adulterer, a murderer and a liar can you see the need for a savior? Someone to come and help you? We are not naturally good.
We are all born sinners, we can not change that. But what we can change is the knowledge of our eternity.
I am open to discuss this more with anyone who would like to know more.
If you see your need for a savior and want this new life I encourage you to pray the following prayer and then tell someone what you did. Then find a local bible-teaching church. I can help you find one if you like. I have many resources to go with. Just let me know.
So if you want to have Jesus come into your life, into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior you can pray this prayer:
"Jesus, I am not sure of what is going on right now, but I do know that I need you. I do believe that you died on the cross and rose again from the dead, even though I may not totally get it right now. I ask that you would forgive me of all my sins. Cleanse my heart from that which separates you and I. Open my eyes to the things You want to show me about Yourself. I am Yours now. In Jesus Name, Amen."
Being a Christian doesn't mean life is easy. We are guaranteed trials and tribulations, but better yet, we are guaranteed a life in heaven with Jesus for eternity. We are guaranteed that when we die we will not spend eternity in hell.
