Dawn's Story

2012 update: Purchased home directly above North Beach here in Racine. Its beautiful living here, laying out on the beach every day I can in the summer, tending to my landscaped floral front and side yards, beautiful. I love it, and finally owning my own home again. I have lost both of my old Pekingese Gizmo and Roxie to age. I now have two young Pekes, Ming, a 3 year old black masked fawn Male Peke, and Arianna, a 1 year old white, fawn and butterscotch colored (also called Parti colored) female Peke. They are my babies. I have been with a good man for the past 4 years, Ron Funk. We have a good relationship, fun, relaxed, easy. Peace Out All! About my life and what I'm looking for: I am a completely different soul than I was in High School...or maybe I have come to finally know myself and who I am. After 21 years of marriage this year I left my husband...he was at times abusive and it took me that long to come to terms with the fact that I didn't deserve that kind of treatment...from someone I loved...and he professed and still does profess to love me. So: I am a true people person. I am confident, social, smile a lot,I am affectionate, which in return mirrors the same back to me. I have a full laugh, a big smile, hug a lot, am not afraid to talk with people I do not know. A person with a beautiful personality treats everyone nicely and respectfully. Its fun to brighten peoples days, even if with just a word or smile. I notice everything around me. Little obscure things in nature which may be missed. The sound of a certain bird, the way the sky looks, beautiful lake Michigan, an animal, children, or a scent in the air....beauty in nature, God all around. I am a deeply spiritual soul. I am spiritually religious as well I lead the contemporary service at 9:15 each Sunday as part of a 3 person "Praise Team" at church here in Racine. I am a soloist as well as trying to inspire the congregation. This is an important part of my life and has been a lifesaver and strength for me. The people of my church are my second family. My biological family is a strong foundation for me, and they are the building block which upon which I can depend. I love animals. I have 2 Pekingese dogs, Gizmo and Roxie. They are my little companions. My pseudo children if you will. I design, create and sell ster...Expand for more
ling silver, semi-precious gemstone, pearl and Swarovski crystal jewelry. I bead necklaces, bracelets, earrings. I used to have a display case at a shop in Downtown Racine where I worked. I worked there for a couple of years. Last fall the owner let me go. We grew a little too close if you know what I mean. It is a shame though, I truly loved that job, and the store. I loved mixing and scenting oils and lotions for patrons. We carried a whole store full of natural products. We also carried incense, burners, Indian throws, massage implements, Kama Sutra products, etc. LOL...He still does carry a store full of all of that stuff...LOL! I miss it all. I miss the interaction with the people I got to know so well the most I think...yes, that is truly what I miss the most, the interaction with my public. I am actually investigating possibilities of self employment at this time. Within the same line of business.. I know enough about it now that I could go about it myself. I am a bit eclectic to some. I like to burn incense and candles, with the lights low. I create candles and handmade soaps from scratch as well and sell them also. My landlord is from church and is letting me paint and decorate this little place in which ever way I want to. I was an art major in college, so you bet my place is going to be something else. My home was outstanding. This will be an upper flat sculpture..it is an upper flat sculpture in the making at this very moment. I appreciate fine food and wine. I love to cook gourmet meals and grill all year round as well. I like to go out to dinner and for drinks also. I adore hot tubs and pools, also lakes and boats. I adore a good long massage. I love to go for weekend trips out of town, Chicago mostly. Nice, close, if feasible. I do love Chicago. I love zoos, and Chicago has a great one. I like to go to the movies. I like to camp and I have tents and equipment. I have a mountain bike and a mountain bike tandem. I like to go for walks, stay home and watch TV, movies, etc. I can be spontaneous, but am also very flexible. I love the outdoors in the warm/hot weather....but am not a cold weather friend. Snuggling up with a movie is more my speed then. But turn me onto something cool like snowmobiling or some such thing. That looks fun~! Peace and Love to you all~ Dawn Nejedly~Mendoza
