Dawn's Story
Hello everyone¿
While I tend to be the taciturn type, I just could not resist this web site. First, thanks to so many of you who took the time to write. I was very touched. I enjoyed reading your stories, so I thought I might offer my own.
I have been married for over 30 years to a very nice guy. I spent fifteen years in Long Beach and then moved to Seattle during the grunge period (read ¿Smashing Pumpkins¿ and hard rock). I went to graduate school in Seattle (sciences). After school, I took a job in Las...Expand for more
Vegas (University of Nevada). Yes, I actually ¿lived¿ in the excess capital of the world! After 17 years in the Nevada desert, I moved to Ventura. I am now working at the California State University, Channel Islands in an administrative job - I have a picture on the university web site if you want to see my version of ¿40¿ years post high school.
I will most likely retire in a couple of years, at which time I will throw pots (I am a potter) and garden until I fall over.
