Dawn's Story
Wow, It's hard to believe it has been almost 20 years since I have attended Warren.
After high school, I got married and my husband (Shane) and I moved to Brea and decided to start a family. So along came our first child, a son and then two years later came our daughter.
I was working for a lighting company as a sales V.P. and then decided to retire and stay home and raise my two kids when my son was in 4th grade. I think it was easier working full time :-) No, really I love being a mom. I am very involved with my kids and all their activities.
The scary part now is that thoughts of my own high school years are never too far from my mind now since both of my children are now in high school. My son is a 17 year old senior and my daughter a 15 year sophomore. It is pret...Expand for more
ty fun thinking about all the things my kids are now doing. It seems like just yesterday I was doing the exact same things (except sports) as they are doing. But needless to say I have no life now that they are in high school. They are both very involved in so much, that it does keep us quite busy. Especially with sports. Our son plays Varisty water polo as well as swims and our daugther plays Varsity soccer as well as track. On top of high school sports, my daughter plays club soccer. So we spend most of our time on a pool deck or on a soccer field.
My husband and I are looking forward to starting our new life in two years when they are both off to college. For the meantime, we do enjoy family vacations and are a big car family, so we do quite a few car events together.
