Dawn's Story
I gradulated a year early from Troy. To me, it was difficult coming from a small town to a large high school environment and I wasn't the best student anyway, so I felt I should move on. I attended Fullerton Community college for about 3 months, got married and moved to Schweinfurt Germany. There I became very involved in the Army Community Service (ACS). During the 4 years we were there I had my son and helped to develop and promote, throughout Germany, the ACS Family Assistance Program that is now active at all Army bases. Being pregnant with my second child we moved to Ft. Stewart Georgia where my husband exited the military and trained in computers. After 8 years we moved to California. After 12 years away it was a VERY BIG Shock! Couldn't believe how much Yorba Linda had changed. We lived in Moreno Valley ...Expand for more
for a bit, divorced, and after 3 years I moved to Padre Island, Texas to be near my parents. There, I went to Texas A&M, received a Occupational Training & Development teaching degree in Business Technology and began teaching and working in the networking fields in the corporate Medical field in Corpus Christi, Texas. After 10 years of great success I moved to Kauai, HI where I bought a home and I live happily ever after. :)
I figured I'd write here, but know that not many people really knew me in High School. I was in the art department alot, didn't join any school activites, except swimming during my less than 3 years at Troy. I enjoy seeing what others have written in the Q&A so figured I'd write a bit too. I attended Mabel Payne from Kindergarten and Yorba Linda Jr. High. I have 3 brothers, Hal, Bill, & Paul.
