Dawnette's Story

Life I married Pat Laycock in March of 1994. We have been living in Spring, Texas, for the last 10 years. My husband works for Hewitt Associates in The Woodlands in Pension Administration. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1991. He's an avid bike rider and truly my "soul mate". We love to hike, camp (OK, he enjoys camping more than me), and travel together. Our son, Jason, will be turning 7 in September and will be starting 1st grade. He loves to do experiments, invent things, and has mastered every flying and crashing sound in the book! Our daughter, Shailey, will be turning 2 in September. My dad says she looks like I did when I was little, except she got her daddy's blond hair. She is girl through and through -- from pretend mak...Expand for more
eup to taking care of her babies to dancing... We have a chocolate lab named Ginger who is now 9. She eats our wooden gate every time it thunders. We either need to buy stock in fence pickets or think of a creative gating solution. I'm open to suggestions! We have a cat named Mischief who is 14. She has at least 9 lives and I can't quite believe that she's still around. I graduated from Texas A&M in 1991 with a degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Mathematics. I taught for 4 1/2 years in Spring Branch ISD. When Pat and I moved to Spring, I took a job with Hewitt Associates in the Health and Group Benefits group. After delivering Jason, I became a stay-at-home mommy -- although I don't seem to be home very much!
