DeAnna's Story

Since High School Graduation I married 1964 and moved to Tulare CA. I had three children. I was divorced in 74 because of physical abuse from alcohol to me. I moved to Thousand Oaks, CA., and married. After two years my middle child became seriously ill with Kidney Failure. My husband couldn't accept the illness and we divorced after 3 1/2 years. I became a single mother to my three children. We stayed in Thousand Oaks and am here now 37 years. I worked for a Neurosurgeon and he was my angel then. He sent my daughter to UCLA Medical center were Shelly was followed for the years to come. She had two kidney transplants and mutable surgeries 20 plus. She graduated High School, married at age 31 one year before she passed away at age 32. Two years before her passing after being single for 19 years I married to my now husband Mark we now have been married 15 years. Four years ago my oldest Jim passed away unexpected with heart failure he was 43. I am still in shock about that, we had no warming. My only daughter and child I have left is Wendy she lives in Tulare, CA and she has three boys my only grandchildren 20, 17 and 10. My husband is getting ready to retire in 2011. We plan on moving where to is unknown. Thorough the years of raising my children, have over come many challenges and obstacles with the help of our God. Have been supported by strangers with many miracles, I have witnessed. Been tested and have triumphed when their was doubt in many eyes. I miss my children I so love, nurtured an...Expand for more
d raised alone. Now I live for the day I will be with them again. My belief has been shook and robbed from me through these test and trials. What I go back and remember is that I had three beautiful children and many years of love. I remember the years that my daughter was in the hospital. When I would walk the halls alone, but felt that I was being carried. I know that God was carrying me and showed me how to care for my child. Her doctors sent her home from the hospital five different times after grave illness to die. I would pray and God would come to our rescue and she would pull through. Her doctors at UCLA didn't expect to see her again these times. She tested new medications that are helping children live today. The final time I was with her was of total acceptance and understood totally it was time to let her go. My angel is now helping us. I share this a short story of our lives to hopefully help others to know there is a Loving God that he is there for each of us. We have to turn it over to be his will. In doing so their might be pain but he will carry you. My Love to all DeAnna I will be 65 this September and taking a hobby of restoring our family car a 1989 Lincoln Town Car. Through the years the car held up for us getting my daughter to a round trip to UCLA and many items with age have broken. It is giving me much joy to remember all the memories we had in this car and am giving it loving care. Many good as well as painful memories but thats all we have once you loose your love ones.
