William 's Story
I attended Texas Western for a year and a half then transferred to Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. I graduated in June 1960. I then entered the US Army as a lowly 2nd Lt for two years. In June 1962 I married Glenda Wilson who graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 1962.
After discharge from the army in November 1962, I entered the insurance business with Employers Insurance of Texas and was assigned to their office in Lubbock. I was there until September 1965 when I was promoted to Sales Manager of their San Antonio ...Expand for more
office. I served there until June of 1971 when I was transferred back to Lubbock as District Manager of the Lubbock office. I remained in that position until 1983 when I joined an independent insurance agency in Lubbock.
In October 1986 I left that agency to start Texas West Insurance Agency. In September 2009 I sold Texas West and took on a position of retired.
We have one son, Gregory, who lives in Austin, Texas.
In April of 2010 we moved to Georgetown, Texas and live in neighborhood for adults 55 or over and fit in well with them!
