Wow, now in my mid 50's, cant say I regret much and have been fortunate to be a bit involved with history (right place and right time). Joined the Marine Corps where I honorably served (played football too) the Corps for 5 1/2 years. Served in a Tank Battalion being deployed to the Phillippines and Japan. From there I graduated from the MSG Battalion and was assigned the American Embassy Ankara, Turkey; where I met my soon to be wife. From there I was assigned to the Diplomatic Security Unit at the American Embassy Moscow, Russia during the Glasnost period. Was flown to the East Berlin Embassy for security during the destruction of the "wall" (East/West Germany), Check-Point Charlie lift off. Left Marine Corps Diplomatic Security as a Staff-Sergeant, honorably discharged, and Hired by the WA State Patrol only to be re-activated for the Persian Gulf War back to the Tank Battalion.
