Deanna's Story
My life has been very full. After high school I started to go to college, stopped school to get married and have two kids, got divorced, started school again. Stopped again, got married and had another child, then finally started school again.
I still live in Chico where I own my home and my kids go to school. I finally got serious and finished with my Bachelor's from CSU, Chico in Political Science. Did I use that major? nope. I now work for Butte County., I work with clients on welfare to help them get jobs and/or training to improve their lives and them to get off cash aid. I really enjoy my work.
My oldest child has moved out, my youngest is 12. I am currently head coach for her cheer squad. It seems, in this life, I'm always taking on some task that keeps me very busy.
I LOVE travel.., I have an RV and I plan to retire early, sell my house, and roam all around the country. I've been across the US and back,...Expand for more
once, but I didn't have nearly enough time to see everything I wanted, and I missed quite a few states. At this point I don't get to use my RV more than a few times a year. I don't like airplanes., but I'd like to travel beyond this continent.., so I like to take cruises. So far I havn't gone that far from home base.., mostly Mexico.., I think I'll go to Hawaii on my next one.., but I do have a goal of going on a world cruise, at least once in my life. They take about 3-4 months, and I can't wait!
For me.., my two favorite montras say a lot about who I am.., "Life is about the journey, not the destination." and "Karma is not a beotch, she's a woman on a mission, and I like her."
We're all on this journey together. Life experience has taken us all along a path of change since we were in high shcool, it has to of.., If you knew me, I'd love to hear from you.., we've come a long way since then. What's your story?
