Deanna's Story
Family:
I got married right out of High School (1990) at 19 and had my son at 20. He is now 17 and about to begin his senior year, at Buchanan High School in Clovis. Then off to college.. part of me is sad and the other half is like YEAH, I¿m kid free!!
I divorced my husband of 16 years 4 years ago, no drama just married too young. I recently remarried this past May to Anthony, who is the love of my life second to only my 17 year old son, Brian. We were married in Pismo, CA on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. It was beautiful. We honeymooned in the Caribbean for 8 days it was fabulous!
Life & Career:
After High school it was off to Santa Barbara for college where I met my first husband and started a family. I am grateful that I completed my CNA/HHA Nursing Certification during my senior year at Selma High. That job helped me earn great money during school and almost solely supported...Expand for more
my family during those barely scraping by college years! We lived in Santa Barbara for 6 years. As a twist of fate my husband's first post college job moved us back to Fresno and closer to Family.
After returning to Fresno I took a job with a large fortune 500 company and settled into a great starting position. Over the next 7 years I climbed the corporate ladder with fancy titles and an increasing salary... but after all the traveling and the hours that it took to be successful. I decided that it was time to move on. I realized that my son was getting to the age where he needed me at home more. So, I turned it all in for a Non Profit position 5 years ago and have never regretted it!
